The social media strategy for @nasaastronauts aims to generate enthusiasm and interest in space exploration, with a particular focus on showcasing the people who contribute to making it happen.
With the launch of SpaceX Crew-3, our goal was to introduce this mission to our audience of approximately 600k followers.
The strategy for the posts related to Crew-3 centered around providing informative content about the launch and the individuals involved. We aimed to keep the audience updated about the mission's progress, celebrate its successful launch, and offer a recap afterward. Throughout this process, we maintained a consistent tone that aligned with NASA's established voice and branding.
As a social strategist for @nasaastronauts, my daily tasks involved curating captivating content for our audience, including remarkable raw footage from astronauts' Canon DSLR and Red cameras aboard the ISS. This content ranged from mesmerizing time-lapses of the Aurora Borealis and stunning astro-landscape photography to fascinating day-in-the-life videos and insightful plant harvesting clips.
After editing and writing compelling copy, I would ensure the timely and strategic posting of these visuals on our social media platforms. The ultimate goal behind each post was to ignite inspiration, foster engagement, and provide valuable education to the public about space exploration and the wonders of our universe.
